FAQsSome of our customers like to surf the web at night looking for answers to common questions. Well, here they are. These are some of the most common questions asked of us. You keep asking them, and we'll keep posting them. For a more complete answer to your specific circumstance, please give us a call. Can I get a free estimate? We think everyone is entitled to a free estimate, that's why we offer them on all new installations. However, if an extensive amount of troubleshooting is required in order to give you a price on a solution, standard service call rates will apply. The technician will tell you when you have surpassed the free service and give you the option of proceeding with a paid service. Should I replace my old fuse box with a new breaker panel? This is one of the most popular questions asked of us. The answer varied from contractor to contractor. Simply put, fuse boxes wear out. The replacement parts are few and far between. There is a good chance that if you've still got one, you're going to replace it sooner or later. It would be a lot easier to schedule and budget for replacement, than to just wait for it to go out. Breaker panels also give you the ability to use Arc Fault Circuit Interrupters (AFCI's). These are now required on new installations of bedroom circuits. How loud will my generator be?This question is usually asked of residential generator installations. Large commercial installations typically include a sound proof enclosure designed for the specific purpose. For those of you looking to buy a pre-packaged gen-set, here's a little information to think about. There are fact sheets for every pre-packaged generator that we sell / install. The decibel (dB) rating is provided on the appropriate fact sheet. Most of the prepackaged generators range from 60dB to 75dB at a distance of 23 feet. To give you an idea as to just how loud that is, take a look at the following examples.
Note: Generators are rated at full load. Typically generators operate below their full load rating. This does make a little difference in the sound output that it produces. Is there a way to verify the speed of my broadband connection?Try visiting on of the following websites.
